Rinse Review

Before getting into our new updated review, let us first look at the main features of RinseMyMusic(Formerly known as TidySongs).

*Fix Songs Names(no more “track 01′s)

*Delete Duplicate Songs

*Organize Genres

*Get Album Artwork

Is the new updated program Rinse legit and does it really cleanup your iTunes? Well, when we first heard of the new update, we couldn’t help but ask these same questions. For most of us, the idea of automatically cleaning up iTunes sounds a little far fetched. And no one wants to create more problems than they already have.

With a growing number of people encountering iTunes related issues such as mis-labeled song information, missing album art, and other organizational issues, several programs have been released aiming to correct these annoying filing errors.

Most people are skeptical as to the effectiveness and accuracy of these programs(and rightfully so), so they usually try to organize their songs by hand. But if you’re reading this report, we’ll assume that your music library is entirely too large to fix by hand, and without a cleanup tool, you might be stuck in mp3 retagging hell forever.

Unfortunately it’s tough to find a decent review these days with the incredible amount of spam and junk websites out there. Its actually kind of funny because when we were researching Rinse(TidySongs), we really couldn’t find too much legitimate information out there. We even saw ads on Google titled with things like “Is RinseMyMusic a scam?” and “Want to know the truth about Rinse for iTunes?“.

Than when we clicked on the ads they just took me straight to the RinseMyMusic.com homepage. After that we found a bunch of reviews from people that probably haven’t even used the program before and have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Unlike these other people we have actually used Rinse(TidySongs) to clean up our music library and you’re actually getting a first hand user report.

The Quick and Dirty Bottom Line:

Yes, Rinse is effective, accurate and a good value. If you have a large iTunes library than the program is definitely worth the $39 asking price. In the end it really comes down to the size of your music library. For those of you with small cleanup jobs, you might just want to consider doing things manually, but if the job is completely overwhelming, RinseMyMusic(TidySongs) is definitely the answer to your troubles.

tidysongsWhen we put together this Rinse(TidySongs) review our goal was to push the program to its absolute limit, so we could get a true representation of the program’s quality. We will describe our personal experience with the program and also provide some other revealing facts such as the refund rate on the program.

You can also use the links above for more information on RinseMyMusic(Tidy Songs) and check out the latest buzz out there on the web about the program. From the get go the plan was to throw obscure songs and a totally screwed up music collection at Rinse to truly judge the program’s effectiveness.

There are some other programs on the market that offer some additional fluff features which Rinse doesn’t have, but with Rinse, RealNetworks decided to focus only on the most important feature, cleaning up your iTunes library. For this reason they have developed these functions to a very high level and they will continue to improve the program as they expand their database. If you are interested in a free trial of Tidy you can use the link below.

As for the overall functionality of Rinse we give it a strong 4.5 out of 5. Most of the time the program just cruises, but there were a few instance when the program happened to get a little tripped up. Our recommendation is not to clean up too many songs at once so you can avoid slowdown. Try to stick with about 100 songs at a time and the program will move along just fine.

Keep in mind that the speed and functionality of Rinse(Tidysongs) also depends on your computer speed and Internet connection. If you are trying to run the program on a 56K dial up connection then you won’t be too happy with its performance. So make sure you have a speedy connection and a computer with something decent under the hood.

As we mentioned earlier, it we were incredibly surprised by the overall accuracy of the software. After throwing some really obscure songs at the program it came back with an exact match for each song the majority of the time. We used a small sample of 100 songs to calculate the accuracy of Tidy Songs and came up with 94%. This blew us away given the rarity of the songs we put in the sample.

mp3 guyIf you want to be truly sure that you won’t get ripped off when you purchase a copy of Rinse, than you can research the return rate of the product and find out the real truth. Since RealNetworks offers a 30 day return policy, all you have to do contact them if you have any issues with the software or are not satisfied with the performance.

The refund rate for RinseMyMusic happens to be extremely low at around 3%, meaning there are a lot of happy customers out there. When you combine all of these factors along with the relatively low price of $39, you really can’t go wrong jumping on Rinse(Once known as Tidysongs) to give your iTunes library a new look.

The program promises to clean up your iTunes library and it delivers just that. Its ridiculous how much time people spend organizing their libraries by hand. Don’t waste another minute on this mindless busy work, download a copy of the iTunes Rinse and your library will be clean in no time.

Rinse’s Main Features Explained…

The great thing about Rinse is that the program is powered by an intelligent online database. This means that you can fix your songs without having to do any of the grunt work.

Remember that you need to have access to a solid Internet connection when using Rinse so it can preform as smoothly as possible. Once you get the application up and running you will be able to add missing album art, find song info, remove duplicates, and organize genres with just a touch of a few buttons.

Rename Missing or Misspelled Song Details

It’s cray how many people we run into complaining about missing iTunes song info. When importing music to your library from sources other than iTunes, there always seems to be issues with missing or incorrect song info.

The most common things that come up are names like “Track 01” or “Unknown Artist“. It can really become overwhelming when you are looking at 1,000 tracks all named track 01 and you want to attempt to fix mp3 tags by hand. Rinse scans your songs and takes a small snippet of each song. Than it matches the song with the correct information fixing the song for you.

Its really as easy and painless as it sounds, just a few clicks and you will be repairing your songs in no time…

Get Missing Album Artwork for iTunes Albums

There is nothing worse than plugging in your brand new iPod and seeing a ton of blank iTunes album artwork. When the first iPod touch came out, we were both extremely disappointed when our collection only had about 20% of the album art and there was no solution to be found.

Rinse for iTunes allows you to easily find high resolution album art for you music library. So if you are tired of your music player not having the full line up of albums, you will definitely be satisfied with this feature.

Easily Remove Duplicate Songs in iTunes

Its one thing if you have duplicate songs with correct names to fix, but if they are unknown than you are basically backed into a corner. A corner of frustration that might lead to increased blood pressure and an uncontrollable urge to break your computer or music player. Trying to remove iTunes duplicates manually is incredibly tedious and not to mention time consuming.

Well at least that was how we felt before discovering an iTunes organizer utility that could solve our problems. The process is really quite simple, the RinseMyMusic song system allows you to set the following parameters before you get started.

You choose how to compare the artist name and title, specify which duplicates to delete(by length or bitrate), and set for removal or tagging. From there you will be on your way to living a duplicate free life in no time. We hope you enjoyed our Rinse review and find your way to tidy iTunes library soon!

The program can be set to tag each duplicate with the word “Duplicate” and than you can delete them manually. Its really a pain having to deal with skipping through duplicate songs when all you want to do is just enjoy your music.
